Jochen Witt, CEO of jwc GmbH and a long time friend of UFI will be presenting his overview of the global exhibition industry at this year’s 78th Congress in Valencia, Spain from 9-11 November.  I asked him to identify the key indicators that the exhibition industry should be watching?

Jochen Witt: “There are several indicators our industry should watch: GDP growth, imports/exports of a country/region, liberal investment climate, fragmented industries, infrastructure, purchasing power, volume and growth of trade etc. etc.  It all depends what you are planning to do…”

Then I pushed a bit and asked, about his predictions for the exhibition industry, both short and long term? He tactfully suggested that he would answer that question during his presentation in Valencia.

Many of us have listened to Jochen in the past and have come to expect his comments to be among the highlights of the conference. I feel confident that this year will be no exception.
