The executive summary of the IMEX Power of 10 Study was just released. This study was sponsored by the IMEX Group, Fast Future Research, the German Convention Bureau, Messe Frankfurt, CPO Hanser and the Frankfurt Tourist Office. The study was in six parts looking at the past and future of the meetings businesses. The three factors that had the greatest impact on our industry were the economy, the Internet and delegate expectations.

 

The ten most significant challenges for the future include such things as:  Establishing universal economic impact models, proving relevance and value and acquitting, retaining and developing talent.

 

It’s a well developed piece of research which I am sure will provide much dialogue in the months and years to come
