The Center for Exhibition Industry Research (CEIR) recently released the first of a series of reports from its study called “The Role and Value of Face-to-Face.”  This first report provided an overview of attendee and exhibitor perceptions of the value of face-to-face interactions.

Forty eight percent of attendees reported that exhibitions as their top rated face to face tool leaving sales calls at a distant 26 percent. While the audience polled was US based, it would not a great stretch to assume that attendees and exhibitors in other countries have a similar perspective. What this means is that in spite of turbulent economics and an abundance of new technologies and marketing tools, exhibitions seems to have once again proven their resilience. It’s good news for us all.

A bit of good news is always welcome.
