Global optimism has returned to the exhibition industry. UFI has recently released its 2013 Global Economic Barometer and reported that three out of four companies expect revenue increases in the first half of 2014. This growth will affect all regions including Asia/Pacific, the Americas, the Middle East and Europe.

While UFI’s Managing Director, Paul Woodward, acknowledged that the issues of “global economic uncertainty” and “the state of the national/regional economy” remain top concerns among organizers, the numbers in this report seem to indicate that the industry has turned a corner and we are headed, unless there are more surprises, for better times.
