A lot has been written about the use of Near Field Communications (NFC) at events but there have been few examples of practical applications. The post by Mitra Sorrells for BizBash, called “Seven Ways to use NFC at an Event,” is a refreshing addition to the literature. Sorrell’s seven include: access control, accreditation, cashless payment, social media, gamification, post event rewards and analytics. Each use is presented with examples that any organizer who has thought about including NFC can easily implement.

It’s a good read.
