There used to be a truism in real estate that said success depends on three things: location, location, location. The same can be said of events and exhibitions.
Selecting the right location is a matter of understanding logistics and involves the entire field of visitor preferences. One need visitors have is ensuring that they are able to experience local culture, cuisine and entertainment.

Until recently the issue of cuisine was very much in the hands of recognized guides such as the “Michelin Touring Atlas.” But now there is a new source: The World’s 50 Best Restaurants,” sponsored by San Pellegrino.

Number one is Noma in Copenhagen. The next nine in descending order are: El Celler, Spain, Osteria, Italy, Eleven Madison Park, New York, Dinner by Heston, London, Mugaritz, Spain, D.O.M., Brazil, Arzak, Spain, Alinea, Chicago, and Ledbury, London.

Does the proximity of world class restaurants have a significant role in the selection of a winning site for an exhibition?

After you have had a chance to review the list of all 50 I’d like to know if there are other restaurants that you think that should be included?
