UFI’s Community Manager

Angela Herberholz, Project Manager of UFI’s Education group, initiated a great conversation on the future of the exhibition industry.

Many of the comments referred to the role of technology and Angela provided an excellent metaphor for social media referring to it as a “test-tube filled with atoms floating around and occasionally bumping into each other.”

But the adoption of our industry to social media is still hesitant at best. Berislav Ciznek, CEO of CBBS Ltd said that the industry doesn’t react to the needs, trends, suggestions and requests coming from exhibitors and visitors. Business advisor Tony Spiloes warned that unless exhibitions remained relevant to their visitors they will not survive.

It’s a great debate that is worthy of your comments.
