For the naysayers who claim that technology has very little place in the world of face-to-face marketing all they have to do is to read GES’s 2015 Trend Tracker which examines how exhibitors’ are using exhibitions. Thirty-one of fifty trends are directly related to the use of technology in one form or another. The balance includes areas revolving around budgeting and planning, marketing and design.

Technology trends include everything from virtual reality to holograms and gamification to drones. Other noteworthy trends include an increase in CEO’s attendance, an emphasis on brand and the need for an enhanced visitor experience.

This is GES’s fourth annual trend tracker report and it makes for a very interesting read.
