The first post-Covid in person UFI LATAM Conference takes place May 11-12 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. This curated event is part of a greater MICE week and features 27 speakers – industry professionals who will share their crisis recovery recommendations, updates on the region and trending topics.

LATAM is made up of 17 countries including Mexico in North America. They are Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama in Central America; Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Brazil, Paraguay, Chile, Argentina and Uruguay in South America. Over 660 million people call it home.

As a growing region, LATAM is filled with opportunities in a growing exhibition market, and Buenos Aires is the #1 city for MICE. Ana-Maria Arango, UFI’s regional director is enthusiastic about the educational offerings for delegates, networking, and the city.

Sessions will be delivered in Spanish with English translations, except for Kai Hattendorf, Managing Director/CEO of UFI and Sophie Holt, Managing Director of Explori who will discuss “What’s ahead in 2022 in our industry? Trends and challenges.”

One of the most anticipated sessions is by longtime tech angel investor and former show organizer Marco Gilberti, CEO of Vesuvio Ventures and Laurie Colas, Sales Manager, Informa Markets Mexico, “As live events are back, how are we dealing with data ownership and monetization?”

Ana-Maria said, “The UFI LATAM conference provides a chance for anyone interested in expanding their exhibitions into the LATAM region to learn specifics and meet leaders – all face-to-face. In addition, the city tour and second evening’s reception include a chance to see some amazing and unique neighborhoods and enjoy the vibrancy of Buenos Aires.”
