France announces re-opening dates for events

The French government has published a timetable for the re-opening of the country related to the COVID pandemic that also foresees when trade shows and business events can be held again: Beginning on June 9, exhibitions and trade fairs can reopen in compliance with a maximum limit of 5,000 people (with health pass) Beginning on June 30, the government states the possibility to hold "any event" that is bringing together more than 1,000 people thanks to a health pass, according to the local health [...]

COVID-19 and its Impact on 2020

UFI recently released the impact of COVID-19 on the 2020 global exhibition industry with its 26th Global Barometer. It may be summed up in one word: OUCH! By all accounts, 2020 was a painful year of severe contraction for the industry – down by 68% from 2019’s figures.
