International partnership opportunities in Thailand would become more realistic than ever as Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) has kicked off its incubation programme “EO: Pro LEAGUE” on 28 September 2021 with an aim to strengthen Thai exhibition organizers (EO) in preparation for future collaboration with international show organizers staging their events in Thailand, as the gateway to ASEAN market.
Significantly, this programme would equip Thai exhibition industrialists with international show management knowhow, boost their capabilities, and upgrade their competitiveness to international level. It widely opens to all stakeholders in Thailand’s exhibition industry to start their journey from fundamental to professional stages with global-standard partnership.
TCEB’s Senior Vice President Mrs. Nichapa Yoswee unveils that TCEB has proactively shifted its role from an industry supporter to be a co-creator, a partner collaborator and a thought leader. TCEB in Year 2021 has become a dynamic industry growth driver and a national bidder with 23 new shows in the pipeline. In parallel with TCEB, professional exhibition organizers (PEOs) with international profile are also the keys to unlock Thailand’s exhibitions potential, and should move on to the next level. Consequently, TCEB is forging this incubation platform to groom as well as transfer knowledge and business opportunities to local exhibition stakeholders. Such a unified effort between the government and the industry is vital to explore new market opportunities and international potential leads as well as to uplift the industry’s competencies and competitiveness.
The post-COVID regionalization of trade exhibitions offers more chances for Thai PEOs to foster new international partnerships and collaboration, and thus leads Thai exhibitions to stay more competitive.
Besides, TCEB has formulated “Thailand MICE Venue Standard (TMVS),” the first MICE standard programme in ASEAN, to support venue operators to reach high standard of operations and to comply with international and ASEAN customers’ requirements for service and safety excellence. This year, there are 10 exhibition premises nationwide as TMVS-certified venues, whereas 3 exhibition venues are certified for the ASEAN MICE Venue Standard (AMVS). Looking ahead, TCEB is gearing up to study the feasibility of introducing new standards to enhance the scope of MICE venue standards in general, and to be ready for the exhibitions industry in the post COVID-19 era.
With world-class exhibitions venues nationwide, a strong local manufacturing and service industry and a highly qualified exhibitions sector, Thailand will remain the strongest exhibitions country in ASEAN and beyond.
Therefore, please be cordially welcomed to capitalize your market opportunities and maximize your business in Thailand with our professional local partners and global-standard venue facilities. Come enjoy TCEB’s subvention programmes and privileges to ensure your next chapter of success.
