Confidence Goes High as Exhibition Industry Players Unite to Support Economic Recovery
Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (Public Organization) or TCEB, the Thai Exhibition Association (TEA) and trade show organizers together celebrated the seventh annual Global Exhibitions Day (GED) with the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry (UFI). The panel discussion event in Thailand highlights the vital contribution of physical trade shows on business growth, reconnecting peers in the global exhibition industry as well as showcase TCEB’s readiness to deliver opportunities for international businesses seeking to capitalize on Thailand’s economic reopening, a market ripe with growth potential.
Your Next Exhibition Destination is Thailand
According to the latest announcement on 1 June by the Royal Thai government, it has eased nationwide COVID-19 controls, allowing business operations and leisure events to continue under the health authority’s guidelines. Meanwhile, the Thailand Pass registration scheme will be lifted on 1 July, removing almost all COVID-19 border measures. With restrictions easing and borders opening, it’s a chance for international businesses looking for a thriving and competitive destination to invest.
In terms of boosting more business confidence, TCEB said it is looking forward to bringing updates on the economic reopening of Thailand and business opportunities in the ASEAN market at the UFI Global CEO Summit in Hamburg, Germany. The updates include Thailand’s infrastructure development, promoting Thailand as a top exhibition destination in ASEAN, introducing upcoming trade shows, as well as TCEB’s post-pandemic support campaign under the concept of “Empowering Exhibition Economy,” which will offer comprehensive supports, both financial and non-financial, to international trade shows, from research to launch, as well as existing shows and new shows organized for the first time in the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC), presently the most lucrative trade and investment landmark in ASEAN. This concept is catered to promote your exhibition success in Thailand through the following strategies: PEOs Empowerment, MICE Alliance and Carbon Neutral Events, which ultimately result in “ROE” – Return on Everything.
TCEB’s Diamond Sponsorship with UFI Aims for Thailand’s Higher Visibility and Further Collaboration
At the same time, TCEB have signed a 3-year sponsorship agreement as a supporter of the UFI Diamond Sponsor. This move signals TCEB’s strong commitment to improve corporate visibility in UFI events, activities and media, and solidifies Thailand’s position as ASEAN’s number one exhibition destination. The sponsorship will enable TCEB to focus its efforts to expand supporting activities to better serve the exhibition industry in Thailand. Furthermore, the signed agreement focuses on education and sustainability, which complements with UFI’s ongoing ‘Net Zero Event’ pledge that tackles climate change issues.
The outlook for 2022 is vibrant as Thailand resumes its economic activity allowing trade show organizers to serve the business community, along with foreign investors who can now travel to take advantage of new market opportunities.
