The online Wikipedia defines an award as, “Something given to a person or a group of people to recognize excellence.” Which begs the question, isn’t striving for and achieving excellence reward in itself?

The answer is not always.

Obtaining personal satisfaction for a job well done can be gratifying but very few of us work in a vacuum. We have staff who contribute to our success and exhibitors and organizers who look with different eyes at those whose efforts have been recognized by their industry.

One great example of an award worth looking at is the 2010 UFI Marketing Award. For information on the qualifications and how to apply visit:

Don’t delay because the deadline is July 18. Good luck.
