Picture this – your attendees have travelled through many time zones, are often sleep deprived and have spent the night in an unfamiliar bed. Now they walk the long trade fair floor in search of solution and become mentally overloaded attending the conference sessions. Sound familiar?
Conference fatigue is one malady organizers must recognize and deal with to ensure delegates are maximizing their experience.
The Meetings + Conventions Worldwide blog reported on an interesting study by the Kyoto Convention Bureau.

The study found that the learning objectives of participants improve from 12.5% to whopping 177% when ten minutes of meditation was introduced prior to the meeting. Kyoto, home to over one thousand Buddhists temples, seems an ideal candidate for this survey. They have utilized the ancient technique of mediation to solve a 21st century problem
100% agreed!
It sounds like an excellent idea. Another would be to provide more seating areas so visitors could sit, relax and rest their legs! How many visitors leave a show because they are just simply tired walking around??
Walking a trade fair is tiring. Seating and a place to rest and relax, perhaps away from the noise and conjestion of the aisle, makes perfect sense. Thanks Sonia for your comment.
