Its summer time in the northern hemisphere! and thoughts turn to travel. Whether your travel is for business or pleasure, there are a number of apps and websites that might help you navigate this often busy and confusing world.
Here are a few of my favourites:
- Fortnighter – Create a customized itinerary by one of Fortnighter’s travel writers.
- Jeeves – Although its been around since 1996, Jeeves has become an indispensible resources for uncovering the mysteries of people and places
- Say Where – Here you can call up maps, telephone numbers and traffic reports with a voice command into your iphone.
- Flashlight – It won’t help you find a good restaurant but it illuminates to help you find your keys.
- Yelp – Locate businesses, services and events locally.
- Lonely Planet Phrasebook – You will never be caught not knowing how to ask directions
- Poggled – Explore a night on the town including entertainment packages, prices and promotions
- eCurrency – real-time currency converter
- Flighttrack – Real time flight status – this is a must
10. Urbanspoon –Find great food by the type of cuisine, proximity to where you are and price.
These are my top ten. Can you add to the list?
