I doubt there is a person on the planet who has not been affected one way or the other by GPS technology.
Global Positioning System navigation can provide unprecedented data to organizers which allows them to understand attendee traffic patterns, how they spend their time and where they visit. To complement this, new information apps like Phunware, Topi and a host of others have been developed. Yet my feeling is that we have only scratched the GPS surface.
In a short and easy to digest article on BizBash, Mitra Sorrells lists six ways that GPS technology can be used at a conference or exhibition. Her six include: instant attendee recognition, location information, navigation assistance, zone triggers, networking facilitation and data gathering.
The article will take five minutes to read and will leave you with several ideas that you can use in your next exhibition.
