The exhibition industry was saddened to hear of the passing of Bob Dallmeyer. I first met him years ago in Sao Paulo. I remember sitting at a restaurant and Bob being the center of attention telling stories about everything from the amazing people he had met along the way. He was a raconteur extraordinaire.

Bob was the recipient of many industry awards including IAEE’s Pinnacle Award (2008). He was inducted into the Convention Industry Council’s Hall of Leaders in 2006. He travelled the globe helping thousands of people through his teaching, speaking and one-on-one meetings to understand the value of the exhibition industry.

We are an industry that prides itself on the openness of its members in this regard Bob was a giant among us.

He set the bar high. He will be missed by us all.
