The Olympic Games are the greatest show on earth. They are also the most expensive. I assume that people in our industry watch the event in Sochi with the eye of an event planner.

We learn from trial and error and we also learn from watching others in our field. We know that the Russians have hired the best of the best to help them plan and execute the games. There are lessons that all of us can take away from their experience that will make our events better.
