Professionals in the exhibition industry spend their time planning for what could go wrong because with an event something always seems to do just that. What if the potential for something going wrong was magnified a million times? What would you do then?

This type of scale is what Twitter Trust and Safety Team deals with every day. With over 500 million tweets daily there is a one tenth of a percent chance that something harmful will be broadcast on their network. This is pretty serious stuff.

In a recent TED Talk, the team’s head, Del Harvey, reveals a bit about how Twitter has addressed its risk.
