UFI’s Community Manager

Cecilia Henningsson is the HR Director for Stockholmsmässan in Sweden. Prior to this, her HR career spanned 30 years with such companies as DHL, AGA/Linde, Sony Ericsson, Stockholm Theatre and BT Industries. Cecilia will be attending the upcoming UFI HR Event.

I asked her if she thought there is a difference for the exhibition industry in the HR function. She immediately spoke about the need within the exhibition industry for a more proactive approach to  training and management development. As an example she mentioned Stockholmsmässan’s Academy which has 40-50 different training activities per year. One of the things she admires in the exhibition industry is the high level of cooperation between companies

With her strong training background, I asked what she hoped to accomplish at the HR symposium. In addition to building new contacts among HR professionals she also said that she hopes to “Discuss different themes such as the development of the exhibition industry and how the development affects HR and the demands on the competencies and management within the industry.”
