Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB), in collaboration with the Thai Exhibition Association (TEA) and Thailand Incentive and Convention Association (TICA), bid the right to organise the 16th AFECA Annual General Meeting at Bangkok in 2021.

AFECA Annual General Meeting is a gathering of professionals in the exhibition and convention industries from all over Asia by The Asian Federation of Exhibition and Convention Associations or AFECA. The federation is established by associated organisations with more than 155 members from 19 countries across Asia.

TCEB has proposed the meeting concept of “ASIA UNITE” for the bidding, highlighting the unity of MICE industry leaders in Asia with the common goals. They are to thrive amidst the global pandemic of COVID-19 and to establish the platform of knowledge for expanding businesses, especially conventions and exhibitions, successfully and sustainably through the annual meeting in 2021 with Bangkok as the host city.

Hosting AFECA AGM 2021 will proclaim to the world about Thailand’s potential in the MICE industry as the hub of the convention and exhibition industries in Asia through the host city, Bangkok. This event will also elevate Thailand’s status as a dynamic MICE business country, remarkably conventions and exhibitions. The industries play a significant role in the economy by leading more investments, connecting business networks worldwide, distributing income to the regional areas, introducing innovations, stimulating the creative economic development, and strengthening MICE industry sustainably.
