I‘m not all that proficient when it comes to predicting the future so I thought I would post this question and ask our followers if they have any thoughts on the subject.

As the credit crisis escalates, there will be pressure to increase the interest rates countries pay on their debts. Countries such asSpain,Italy,GreeceandPortugalwill ultimately pay more per capita on debt service. With theUnited Statesdebt ceiling being raised, it is not unthinkable that investors might worry about theU.S.’s ability to re-pay loans. This will also result in an upward pressure on interest rates.

The question I am pondering is whether all this will have a negative impact on the availability of venture capital our industry needs to expand existing exhibitions, create new opportunities and build facilities. Our industry is not unlike other businesses that also depend on the flow of capital to survive.
