In the September edition of Exhibitor Magazine, I ran across an article that listed 8 Apps specifically designed for travelers (like us).

Here are the eight which sound like they are worth checking out.

CultureGPS – Developed by a Dutch psychologist who analyzed data from seventy countries. The App helps travelers navigate cultural issues such as equality, gender differences, and individualism.

XECurrency – An on-line currency calculator that gives up-to-date exchange rates.

GateGuru – Takes the guesswork out of finding amenities and gates at airports.

FlightView – Uses a technology similar to what is used in airports to report on gate changes as well as arrivals and departures.

TripTracker – Allows you to organize your entire itinerary electronically.

Expensify – Organizes expenses into pre-set categories. Also does currency conversions.

Simply Declare – Keeps expenses under control by signaling when pre-set per diems are at their ceiling.

Seat Guru – Lists the various seat configurations for over 700 seat maps. By entering your flight number, picking the right seat is now much easier.

International travel has always had its challenges but with the help of these eight apps perhaps it can be a bit easier.

Let me know if you have had any experience with any of these or other apps designed to make our travels easier.
