Before you choose an official hotel for your next event, here is one more thing to add to your amenities list: WiFi service
Mobility provider iPass conducted a recent survey of 1200 business travelers of which 47% of respondents were from Europe and 47% from Asia. The survey provided some interesting findings:
95% of business travelers stated it is important that the hotel they stay in has WiFi service
Poor Wi-Fi experience will influence the business traveler’s plans to re-book at the same hotel.
Business travelers ages 35-44 are more likely to post complaints on travel web-sites
17% of business travelers will not inform the hotel about poor Wi-Fi service.

Event organizers need to do whatever they can to ensure that travelers have a positive experience. This report shows that travelers’ ability to connect seems to have moved to the top of the list of amenities. Be sure to include this in your recommendations of suitable hotels and accommodations.
