In the 1980’s creative thinking guru Karl Albrecht attempted to answer the question why some people process information one way and others in another and whether the two could work productively together.
It is my belief that organizers can adopt some important green initiatives such as reducing the amount of carpet, turning off engines at loading docks, saving on electricity and reducing the waste going to landfills. But from my perspective I see a much larger role for show organizers.
Brazil has always been the economic engine of South America but there seem to be tremendous opportunities in Columbia, Chile, Peru and several of the Central American countries
The first economic crisis of the new millennium is ebbing, the volcanic ashes are still wreaking havoc and technology is burgeoning with new products designed to make our businesses easier, so where do we go from here?
We may tinker a bit with the formula but for the most part, other than the industry specific stuff, they look remarkable similar.
The ups and downs in the life of an exhibition organizer can affect his or her emotional as well as physical health. For some people it is the only life they can imagine. For others it is a struggle balancing a myriad of responsibilities while keeping an upbeat attitude. The question we all need to take a moment to ask is “Am I happy doing what I am doing?”
If we are to attract and retain quality exhibitors then perhaps we need to open a discussion around various pricing strategies in the industry.
If people are positively affected by suggestion then does this provide us with a clue as to how we should be promoting our events or even communicating with our exhibitors and staff?
