Undoubtedly by now you have heard about UFI’s new Education Centre. It’s a terrific initiative that gives UFI members access to all sorts of information year round 24/7. One example you will find in the Education Centre is edited videos of presentations from various UFI events. The first posts were from the recent meetings inUtrechton operations and ICT.  Hamburgmeeting will be available by the end of the month.

The Centre will give members easy access to on-line courses such as the “Role of the exhibition industry in the marketing mix” and a new program called “Eight steps to sustainability”. There is a library that plans to includes surveys, studies and other useful links. There is also a “lounge” where members have an opportunity to network with each other.

In time as the content in the Education Centre grows, it will become a valuable resource for all members.

This initiative gives UFI members year-round access to the association’s educational content.  It is based on the same principle that many organizers are struggling with which is how to expand the exhibition experience from a few days to a full year.

The trick to the success of a centre, is participation. So, here’s another opportunity for you. Get involved with the Education Centre. Encourage your staff to do the same. Through your on-going participation, you will gain access to great information, and through your own experience learn what keeps people coming back. You can then apply what you have learned to your events. It’s a win-win.
